One tube lasts 4 to 6 weeks. Most creams last under two. Most people end up spending less.
But there’s a more important reason. The creams you’ve been using contain zinc. When a denture fits poorly, people use more and more of it — and overuse has been linked to real nerve damage.
What the research found: Studies in the journal Neurology at UT Southwestern linked heavy adhesive cream use to high zinc in the blood. Too much zinc depletes copper, which causes nerve damage — numbness, tingling, weakness in the hands and legs. People using two or more tubes a week were at the highest risk. Zinc content is not always declared on the label.
Ryvane contains no zinc. It fills the gap instead of gluing the surface. That’s the difference.
